🌊 Burst pipes
Water running continuously past your day or night limit raises an alert in minutes, with tighter limits overnight when sustained use is most suspicious.
🏜️ An empty water source
A pump running dry draws less power than one pushing water — so DropStop can tell an empty cistern, well or holding tank apart from a leak, and shut the pump off before running dry burns out the motor.
🔌 A failing electrical supply
Every time your pump starts it load-tests your wiring. DropStop records the voltage when the pump is at rest, when it starts up and again under load. If your pump's plug ever trips on overcurrent, DropStop uses those readings to tell you whether it's the pump or the wiring.
🔧 A pump about to fail
When a start capacitor goes it pulls several times its normal current without turning. Left alone it cycles like that for hours and the usual ending is a burnt-out motor. DropStop recognizes the signature — high current, almost no real power — and cuts in under two seconds.
🧳 Away mode
One tap before you leave applies a much stricter water budget. Any unexpected use while you're gone alerts you immediately — and you can switch it off right from the alert when you're back.
